Transport for Wales (TfW) Public Consultation: Help Shape the Future of Carmarthen Railway Station

Transport for Wales (TfW) is inviting residents, commuters and visitors who use Carmarthen Railway Station (to access rail and bus) to share their views in a Have Your Say survey. The purpose of this consultation is to:

Gain insight into the challenges people face when accessing and using Carmarthen Railway Station
Understand travel behaviours and the factors that influence travel choices
Gather views on how bus and rail services can work more effectively together
Learn what improvements matter most to passengers and local communities

Feedback will help inform the development of initial proposals this financial year which aim to improve the station environment and make journeys between different modes of transport (such as train to bus) easier, safer and more convenient.

The consultation will run for three weeks from 21 September to 12 October. TfW colleagues will be on hand at Carmarthen Railway Station on Thursday 24 September from 08:00 until 18:00 to discuss the project and gather feedback from station users.

A link to the consultation webpage and survey is provided below (the Carmarthen survey will be available from Monday 21 September):

Although funding has not yet been secured for the delivery of improvements, responses to this consultation will play an important role in shaping TfW’s early proposals. Understanding local priorities will help build a robust evidence base to inform and support future funding and investment opportunities.

Please consider sharing the consultation with your constituents to help raise awareness and encourage participation. We also value your feedback by submitting your own response to the survey.

Once initial proposals have been developed, TfW will carry out a further round of consultation to seek feedback on the draft proposals.
